The time has come to be jolly and merry… and to also decorate your home in festive glitter and baubles. But where do you get your Christmas decorations in Beijing? I have been browsing around a bit and have found some good places to stock up on fun items to deck out your home.
Baopals
I’m a big fan of this website simply because it’s in English and it delivers good customer service. They have opened their Christmas boutique and it’s easy as pie to get your decorations. Find their website here.
Taobao
Where would we be without the trusty Chinese website that has everything and more? You will be never sure if you will get the exact thing like on the picture but it’s a bit part of the fun ordering from this treasure cove online. I have found some amazing holiday toilet seat covers that are worth the try. Find this gem here.
Jenny Lou’s and April Gourmet
Every year, the assortment gets bigger at these international supermarkets, making it easier to get some stockings and fun holiday stuff here. Find also chocolate advert calendars for a sweet price.
IKEA
I have checked out the Christmas range and its great, trees and baubles galore, as well as gingerbread houses to put together yourself are found at this Swedish giant store. Get ready to walk away with more things than you need, and be fast as they run out quickly
Roundabout
For a week, we were anxious, awaiting if the store would reopen but it has! And their Christmas range is superb. Who needs new when something can be reused? And all for charity… more in the spirit we can’t get. There is a store at Shine Hills and the new store has just opened here.
