We’ve experienced a weird beginning to spring: from a week full of pollution, to crazy snow-and-shine weather, and then to days with floating catkins and pollen, which left a lot of people sick. Of course, we don’t want to stay indoors in the season of blossom. That’s why we need to be mindful of our wellness, despite the ever-changing weather conditions in Beijing. I’ve met a lot of people here who make use of crafts to make their homes livable and welcoming. One of these took my attention: the use of scent to awaken your senses.
Just recently when I got injured, I went to the house of my colleague Pauline and asked a home remedy. She gave me little bottles of essential oils from dōTERRA, which she explained would help the bruise heal faster and relax my mind. I thought it was effective. Okay, I’m gonna be real – the scent of these essential oils is soothing and helps me think clearly.
Come April 28, a wellness advocate based in Shenzhen will visit Beijing to hold healthy living classes, as well as to talk about the potency of oils for therapeutic properties. Elsa Mailloux, a practitioner of Rapid Transformational Therapy, says she wants to “support ladies’ lives” as well as “connect with anyone who would simply like to know more about living a low-tox life without getting a rocket science PHD.”
Mailloux says the classes “are geared towards absolutely anyone, beginner or more experienced, who wishes to find natural solutions to everyday health issues and support for wellness questions of a more serious kind.” She explains the topics include a talk about how to remove much of the toxic load in everyday modern life, as well as how she became an advocate of wellness through dōTERRA’s essential oils.
For questions about the classes, add Mailloux on WeChat (see the poster above for the QR code).
