What can we say about LEGOs that hasn’t already been said? They are fun for people of all ages, they stimulate creativity, and they hurt a lot if stepped on with bare feet.
We are happy to report that LEGO are releasing their own miniature version of the Great Wall for the newest addition to their LEGO Architecture Series. While it will definitely not be visible from space (obviously, neither is the real Great Wall), it should allow for plenty of time for your little ones to play and explore the construction of this World Heritage Site on a rainy day.
Consisting of 550 pieces, this set will allow your little ones to build a wall segment made up of two watchtowers that climb up and down a green mountain landscape. It’s like a little Mutianyu that fits in your living room and will be priced at about RMB 380. It is also connectable with other sets if you wish to extend the wall a bit. This would be perfect if your son and daughter is getting to the age where they appreciate a little more privacy.
This isn’t the first time that China has been featured in LEGO’s Architecture Series. Last January Shanghai’s skyline saw some of their most identifiable buildings, including the Longhua Temple, The Bund waterfront area, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Shanghai World Financial Center, and the Shanghai Center Building all shrunk down into a 597-piece set.
Other notable buildings that are included in this popular series are landmarks like the Empire State Building and Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York.
