A 7-year-old boy was violently attacked by an adult man for misbehaving in Suining, Sichuan, The Paper reported on April 27.
Footage originally from Suining News shows the shocking attack, which happened on a public bus. The boy, named Guo Mouheng, was on the bus without supervision. As he loitered, he teasingly kicked a passenger named Guo Moutian (unrelated). The adult aggressively jumped up to grab the boy by his back and slammed him on the floor, then violently kicked the boy’s head three times.
The little boy collapsed on the floor from the attack and lost consciousness shortly after another standing passenger stopped the man.

According to local reports, the boy was on his way back from school by himself when the incident happened. The boy is a local student and is currently being treated in a local hospital. Despite the attack, he is in a stable condition without any serious internal injury.
The young boy’s parents said their son “doesn’t deserve the awful violence even if he behaved naughtily,” and explained that the boy “is a very good student in school and he often gets full marks from exams.”
The attacker, who is not related to the boy, has been detained for 15 days. Though the attacker’s dreadful behavior was widely criticized, there were also some netizens who commented that it was the child’s bad behavior that triggered the outburst, and that he needed to be better educated by his parents. Several Chinese netizens have also tagged kids who are so spoiled and over-protected by their parents that they behave selfishly in public as 熊孩子 xióng háizi (literally “bear children”).
