Foot binding started in the Song Dynasty and during the 19th century, it was estimated that around half of all Chinese women had bound feet. This cultural practice was outlawed after the collapse of the Qing Dynasty in 1912. The exhibition is open to the public from January 18 until March 13. All ages. Free. 7-9pm. Cafe Zarah. 46 Gulou Dongdajie, Dongcheng District. 东城区鼓楼东大街42号. (8403 9807)
