Chinese Knife Skills Cooking Class, Feb 1
A Chinese chef is judged first of all on their knife skills. The Hutong is organizing a class which will teach you Chinese knife skills such as slicing, shredding, mincing, and deboning with a cleaver. Mutual Learning of Civilizations — World Images in Print Context, Jan 22-Feb 24 (closed Mondays)
This exhibition shows about 200 prints from the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) and Heilongjiang Provincial Art Museum. Following the theme of “mutual learning of civilizations”, it is divided into five parts: “Multi-Visions”, “Louvre Treasures”, “Reviving Classics”, “British Horizon”, and “Tales of the Mortal World”. These prints seek to analyze the humanism and cultural themes of the prints displayed, along with the creation of a better world through drawing on the experiences of the different civilizations of the past.
