“Just Like You” 2019 World Autism Awareness Day Celebration Event, Mar 31
This event is co-hosted by China Social Welfare Foundation, Beijing Association for Rehabilitation of Autistic Children, Beijing BISS International School (BISS), and ETU Education with the aim of raising public awareness about autism. Help Your Child Beat School Anxiety at Yew Chung International School of Beijing, Apr 11
Yew Chung International School of Beijing (YCIS Beijing) will be offering a second workshop on “Beating School Anxiety” on April 11th. The workshop will be presented by YCIS Beijing’s School Counsellor, Rachel George, and is open to the general public. The workshop will help parents recognize the signs of anxiety in their children and offer some strategies for helping them overcome their stress. It will build on the lessons shared in last month’s Anxiety Workshop, and also include new information and resources so it will be a worthwhile experience for both new and returning parents. Adults. Learning to Read: English Literacy Foundations, Apr 19

And the following day, Joy EL holds their Family Fair, a whole school event open to the public. Staff, students, and families come together at the fair to share in fun activities, games, music, and food. The theme this year will be “International Celebration,” and it will take place throughout their outdoor campus, which will be sectioned into different areas: Fun Park (games and bouncy castles), International Park (booths representing ten different countries, a background for photos, and cartoon figures), Entertainment Park (stage shows), Food Park (world cuisine), and a rest area. Support WAB’s Fun Fair & Rock in the Park, May 25
WAB’s biggest outdoor events of the calendar year will take place on Saturday, May 25. They are now seeking corporate sponsors for the annual WAB Fun Fair and Rock in the Park events which saw more than 5,000 people come to the WAB campus last year. Rock in the Park will run from 2pm to 8.30pm, and features a variety of student performances, activities, local vendors, and delicious food.
