Beijing Burger Festival, Jun 22-23
Beijing’s juiciest weekend is back! This year’s festival will be bigger and better than ever, with 15,000 burger fiends scouring 50 booths for the best burgers, booze, and bites as well as two full days of music, entertainment, competitions, as well as the launch of the first ever Best Buns Contest, where contestants will battle it out with nothing else but their brawn and chiseled buns. It will also be the most vegan and vegetarian-friendly festival yet so that you can come and gorge on burgers no matter your dietary persuasion. On top of those veggie options, there’ll be at least 10 new burger vendors that have never attended before. And the children’s area offers games and fun for families. All ages. The Brickyard: Readings in The Garden, Jun 23
If you’re looking for something different to do on a Sunday afternoon, then the Brickyard’s “Readings in the Garden” is the event for you. Amid the peaceful setting of the Brickyard Inn and Retreat Center by the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, listen to some of Beijing’s finest writers, as they share poetry, fiction, and conversation.
