You’ve probably heard of Roundabout as a charity organization that collects used goods from homes all over Beijing and sells them to raise money for charity at their giant warehouse store in Shunyi. But have you ever wondered who the big-hearted people making Roundabout turn are, and better yet, how you can get involved?
On January 10 from 11am to 2pm, join the volunteers at Roundabout for a potluck luncheon on the 2nd floor of the Roundabout Store. It’ll be an afternoon of great home-cooked food and mingling with other like-minded individuals. Learn about what Roundabout has accomplished so far, and how you and your friends can help out in the new year.
“For many of us in the Roundabout family, volunteering has been a life-changing experience. To be able to support others at their most vulnerable and critical time has been deeply humbling and empowering. Together with you, we have saved hundreds of lives and provided educational aid for tens of thousands of children across China. Along out journey, we have had the privilege of getting to know many of these children. We are continuously inspired by their strengths in the face of adversity and touched by their hopes and dreams. Our collective efforts will enable these children, and many more, to get a fair shot at realizing these dreams.”
RSVP by scanning the QR code before January 8 and bring a dish for everyone to share. Roundabout will have drinks, plates, cups, and cutlery prepared.
