Summer vacations are fast approaching! And while it’s very important that kids have time to play and decompress during their time off, most parents agree that there is value in keeping kids intellectually stimulated over the break, in order to avoid the dreaded “summer slide”, the loss of academic skills and knowledge over the course of long school holidays that particularly affects young children.
While you may balk at the idea of getting their kids to do homework during the holiday break, when they have already had so much disruption to their learning this year, we believe that there is room to make learning fun, creative and exciting for kids so that they can reinforce what they’ve learned in ways that don’t even feel like homework.
Here are some free, printable learning resources that we love. We’ll keep adding to this list, so be sure to check back regularly for more!
