Two years ago two girls started rescuing street puppies in Beijing, giving second chances to little fireballs all over the city. Faced with so many puppies to nurse back to health and house train, they gathered together a network of dog fosters across the city to take in and raise the puppies until they could find permanent homes for them. Since 2018, The Lost Puppies of Beijing has rescued and homed over 200 dogs and continues to grow every day.
This weekend it’s time to celebrate two years of puppy rescuing. 200 pups in two years!
To celebrate, The Lost Puppies of Beijing is organizing a tasty BBQ party at Plan B and inviting all of the people who made it possible for them to be where they are as a community and as an organization and look back at all the smiling faces that are no longer “lost puppies”, because they’ve found their place in our hearts.
Join the pups and their humans this Saturday (Sep 26) from 4-8pm at Plan B. Tickets are RMB 50 at the door and gets you one Skinny B*tch drink to start your partying mood.
This weekend’s BBQ will feature food for both people and pups, fun events, and amazing pet-friendly prizes in the silent auction.
Snack on doggy friendly desserts from Genki Go who makes cakes and fresh food for pups that are additive and preservative-free. Who wouldn’t want to pamper their pup on their birthday, and with the Mid-Autumn festival coming up, they’ve prepared doggy mooncakes as well. Real makes doggy snacks and will be serving them up all afternoon as well as giving your pup a little treat to take home.
If you’re planning on bringing your pup, be sure to keep them on a leash for safety.
