  1. As an expat that lives and works in Shunyi, I don’t agree that residents are completely getting along. Many of us do not drive. So we are depending on buses from school to take us to and from campus. If we miss the bus then we are on our own to find a way to work. Private drivers are charging 120 round trip to my school when a Didi was 60 round trip.

    As for packages not being delivered, what’s the reason? Daxing is still getting Didi and delivery services and they are a higher level than Shunyi. Plus delivery is contactless as most compounds have shelves set up outside their gates for deliveries.

    I’m also a pet owner who relies on Taobao for pet supplies. Shunyi is limited with their pet food options. I also need to find cat litter. It’s ridiculous!

    Cutting people off from these two options, Didi and package delivery, makes little sense. It did for the first two weeks but now it doesn’t, especially when other areas haven’t been treated the same.
