Ask around Beijing WeChat groups for the best places to take kids to bounce or have birthday parties, and you’ll hear lots of people offer the suggestion of BomBom Space, an indoor trampoline fun spot where kids can play very independently and give parents a little breathing space!
But earlier this week we at Jingkids heard their location in the Biru World Shopping Centre is closing because the entire mall will close down. A call to the staff of BomBom Space confirmed this sad news. According to the staff, they can’t rent that site once the mall closes, most likely at the end of March, but an exact date has not been set yet. It’s possible the closing will be delayed, and their hours will stay the same, 10am-8pm daily, until that time.
Although another location is not confirmed, they do plan to reopen near the 5th Ring Road this year. They also have plans to open another branch in Hangzhou by the end of 2021.
BomBom Space needed to close like most spaces last January 2020 as the epidemic was becoming known. They joyfully reopened in April, closed again temporarily in the summer, and then reopened under new protocols in July. Given their resilience in the past, we look forward to hearing where they’ll land for all our bouncing playdates soon!
