Africa Ankara Fabric Choker Set Making Workshop
The Hutong branches out from their usual Chinese cultural events to something different this Saturday: hosting an African jewelry-making workshop. As well as being beautiful objects, such pieces can indicate one’s wealth, tribe, and social status. Ankara wax fabric itself has a rich history mostly in West Africa and this workshop will delve into this background while you create a beautiful unique piece of jewelry to take home. Jewelry making can be a bit fiddly, so we’d say this is most suitable for tweens and up.
2.30pm. The Hutong. RMB 260
This Saturday afternoon, S&R music workshop is offering group music classes for children aged two and a half to five years of age. The class is designed to encourage kids in their vocal and music abilities, and assist cognitive development.
