It was with heavy hearts that we watched BomBom Space close up its doors on Jul 1 this year. So it is with a bright smile and much lighter heart that I share this wonderful news – BomBom Space lives on, in the form of a bubble party located at Surprise Outlet mall in Chaoyang District. This limited-time event kicked off Jul 27 and will last until the end of August.
Featuring a high-powered foam machine that runs all day long, huge pool floats (choose from the all-time favorite pink flamingo, unicorn, or pineapple), and massive water gun fights, the Bom bubble show invites you to create the iconic summertime picture of foam-filled fun with friends and family! Rest assured that the bubble formula is all-natural and only 25 people are allowed per session. Kids below 12, or below 1.2m are required to enter with an adult. The party starts at 10am and goes all the way to 6pm, and each session lasts 45 minutes. Tickets are priced competitively at RMB 68/kid or RMB 98 for one adult and one kid. BomBom Space is a local brand in the world of bouncy houses and currently retains one other outlet in Shanghai. Its outlet in Beijing’s Tanli Xingqiu Mall was forced to close this past July, after being in business for two short years. Nevertheless, they had hosted over 200,000 visitors in those 600 BOM-tastic days. BomBom Space was known for its cleanliness, cheery decor, and a large selection of well-maintained trampolines, climbing facilities, and virtual reality (VR) games, which catered to both younger and older kids alike. My son and I attended no less than three birthday parties at its Beijing premises, and I couldn’t resist getting harnessed in myself to scale the rock wall! I also watched as other adults joined the kids in line for VR games that see a little digital you bounce around a sandcastle to fend off attacks from giant crabs. In short, BomBom provided my family and friends with a really good time, and I hope to see it reopen in Beijing soon.
