We are Evelyn, Oliver, Eline Rosenthal. We are a Mexican-German family. Oliver’s work brought us from Mexico to Beijing last year. It’s been an amazing adventure, but the best part of all is that our daughter Eline was born here nine months ago.
Evelyn and Oliver’s favorite place in Beijing for date night is their living room. It has a precious view of the city’s skyline and a playground for Eline.
Their favorite memory of Beijing is the birth of their daughter Eline.
The local food that the Rosenthals were most pleasantly surprised by is the variety of vegetables and mushrooms. One of their favorite restaurants here is the vegetarian fine-dining establishment, King’s Joy.
What Evelyn loves most about Oliver is his bravery and that he is ambitious like her. He has a good heart and he’s an excellent dad and caring husband. But most of all, she loves that they have been – and still are – accomplices in fun, pain, and constant learning.
Oliver’s favorite quality about Evelyn is that she is smart and fun to be around. They never have a boring day together. But besides that, he admires her bravery. For example, when she left her home and family at the end of her pregnancy to start a new life as a family on the other side of the world.
Evelyn and Oliver’s favorite place to take their daughter for playdates is Spring in Solana.
