Earlier last month a children’s Winter Olympic exhibition titled Children Welcome Winter Olympics opened at the Chinese Museum of Women and Children here in Beijing. The show attracted the participation of nearly 300,000 children from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country, including children from special education schools, who painted their dreams and visions for the upcoming Winter Olympics.
CGTN reported that more than 300 pieces of artwork were selected for the exhibition which, according to Kou Huping, Executive Deputy Director of China Women and Children’s Museum, aims to build a platform for promoting the knowledge of the Winter Olympics, promoting Olympic culture, and embodying the Olympic spirit. At the same time, it’s a chance for China’s youth to experience the charm of ice and snow culture while encouraging them to pursue their dreams.
The exhibition will be open until Mar 15, alongside plenty of other Olympic activities. To check it out during the Chinese New Year holiday, visit the Chinese Museum of Women and Children.
