Rumble in the Jumble anniversary edition
Can you believe that Rumble in the Jumble has been in Beijing for 6 years? Well, believe it! In honor of their efforts in developing and maintaining a platform for emerging brands and niche services in Beijing, Rumble was invited to join HICOOL at their annual entrepreneur summit at the new China International Exhibition Center in Shunyi.

BEN X Live with Less Swap event
Who’s Ben, you ask? Why it stands for Beijing Energy Network and they are partnering with a group of architects from Crossboundaries who started the “Live With Less” program to reduce waste and over-consumption through community sharing. According to them, it has become the first and most influential swap event in Beijing and a much-loved fixture. This Saturday will see the second edition of this event – “BEN X LIVE WITH LESS” Swap Market and you are invited to come hang out, meet each other, have fun, and hunt for treasures!
Anything on the display tables is free to take with the RMB 35 entrance fee (RMB 40 for onsite payment) and you should definitely bring a tote bag or two for items you want to take home.

Visit The Bulk House
Continuing the spirit of sustainability, we are saddened to hear that Beijing’s leading zero wasters – The Bulk House – will be closing down their physical store for good and moving their shop to a purely online presence. This is a great opportunity to show kids what a zero-waste store looks like, and check out their eco-friendly products – many of which are fascinating. Plus, this will be your last chance to bring your own bottles to refill them with their in-house shampoo and cleaners.

Surfing camp
Get kids to cultivate their skills of balance and coordination in this one-day surf camp conducted by a bilingual FFA Flowboard instructor who is WAFA (Wilderness Advanced First Aid)-certified. Don’t be fooled by how cool surfers look as it’s really quite a workout! Return transportation, lunch and professional photographs and videos are all included in the price as well! While this surf camp takes place most weekends, there won’t be too many weekends of warm weather left, so better attend this soon!
