It feels like we’re stuck in our own version of Groundhog Day with all the closures, lockdowns and online learning taking center stage once again. Join this fun kid-friendly online event courtesy of The Storybook, where you’ll get to participate in fun activities and receive stories, songs and all kinds of surprises on a daily basis. Santa’s helpers will send out magical tasks for you to complete and spread Christmas cheer. The online advent calendar will start on Dec 1 and end on Dec 25. The price is RMB 80 and all profits will be donated to charity on Christmas Day.

British Christmas Market
Experience Christmas the British way at this year’s Christmas Market at the Residence of the British Ambassador. Enjoy great food and drinks, performances, holiday activities and workshops, and buy Christmas gifts from one of the many local vendors. By doing your Christmas shopping at the market you’ll be supporting the Migrant Children’s Foundation and getting onto Santa’s nice list this year. Please note that for now tickets are only available for BritCam China members and British Embassy staff. Public sale will be announced at a later date.

Beijing Postcards’ Hutong Walking Tour
Go for a stroll through the hutongs and learn why Beijing feels so special while enjoying the brisk December air.
