Christmas Market 2022
Get into the holiday spirit at this year’s Christmas Market at Shenglu Garden. Enjoy authentic German food and have a cup of festive hot chocolate or mulled wine while browsing through goodies handmade by the vendors. The market will be held at a beautiful location at Shenglu Garden, with both a cozy outdoor area and a heated indoor area, so if you get cold after visiting all the outdoor booths, you can just head inside with your family and friends to enjoy the decorations and a steaming hot cup of delicious coffee. The Christmas Market will be held on Dec 17 and Dec 18, and tickets can be purchased online for RMB 80. Each ticket includes an RMB 40 voucher that can be used at any of the booths.

Rumble’s “Santa’s Sunny Paradise” Christmas Market
Santa’s Sunny Paradise is back on! If you’re tired of this cold, but enjoy Christmastime, head to JinShang to enjoy a tropical paradise with a Beijing twist. The Christmas market will feature some of the most famous local vendors with their products on display if you need to do some last-minute Christmas shopping. You can join a Cuban salsa workshop with Julio or enjoy delicious treats and mulled wine. The bazaar is pet friendly, so you don’t need to worry about leaving your furry baby at home.

Art Tribe’s “Christmas Miracle” Workshop
Join a workshop where you’ll get to create your own Christmas miracle. No art skills required! Art Tribe will be hosting their intuitive painting workshop on Dec 26 at Botanica, and all you have to do is show up and have fun. Price is RMB 299 per person, and you even get to enjoy an organic dessert and organic drink for free!

Online Presentation: Essentials of Chinese Folk Arts and Crafts
Learn about unique arts and crafts that started developing thousands of years ago and became an important part of Chinese cultural identity. Cultural Keys will be organizing an interesting online presentation where you’ll get to find out everything you wanted to know about traditional folk arts and crafts such as paper cutting, weaving, sugar art, rice dough figurines and shadow play. Prices are RMB 50 for members of Cultural Key’s WeChat group, RMB 80 for non-members, and entry is free for employees of any member company of a China-based Chamber of Commerce. The Hutong Kitchen: “Tastes of Sichuan” and “Tastes of Asia: Soup Anytime” Cooking Classes
The Hutong is open for business and for our favorite cooking classes. The classes you can sign up for this weekend are “Tastes of Sichuan” and “Tastes of Asia: Soup Anytime,” so if you’re up for learning some regional cooking styles, scan the QR code on the poster to register. Price is RMB 350/class for non-members and RMB 300/class for members. A 48-hr Covid test is required.
