I once had a friend who always said he tries to learn one new thing every day and that if we ever stopped learning we might as well give up and die. For some reason, that really spoke to me. Just because we’re no longer in school doesn’t mean the learning should ever stop.
Whether it’s pursuing an MBA program, learning a language, or tackling a new recipe, keeping your brain engaged and developing helps us keep our sanity in check.
For those who share a passion for learning, add TBJButler on WeChat to request to join the new Lifelong Learning in Beijing WeChat group.
This group is dedicated to lifelong learning and adult education opportunities in Beijing. The rules are simple: Post anything you want related to adult learning in Beijing — whether it be Basket Weaving, Cooking, Mandarin language, or an MBA.
Discussion and questions are welcome. This group is NOT for children’s courses (we have other groups for that).
It is also not for general events — for an opportunity to be posted here there needs to be a genuine learning outcome associated with the activity. When in doubt, ask the admin in advance.
You can find everything from martial arts to book clubs, photography, cooking classes in English, and many other interests from like-minded expats in Beijing. Have fun learning something new and making some new friends along the way.
