Learn From My Mistakes About My Kid’s School Choice!

When my family first came to Beijing three years ago, we were presented with three international schools to choose from by the relocation specialists.

Since my kid was just in pre-school then, I wasn’t particularly concerned about school choice at the time, believing that free play in a natural, holistic environment would be adequate for my child’s needs. Before I knew it, he is now in grade 2 of same school he started kindergarten in, because it just seemed easier to stay with the same school. And yes, it was one of those 3 international schools we were first presented with when we arrived. I didn’t even hear of the existence of other international schools until much later, when my kid was settled deeply into his current school.

You’re probably way more informed than I was about your children’s school choices, and have done your homework about all the options out there. But even when your child is in school, the journey hasn’t ended yet – there’s still after-school activities, or a change in school, even college admissions! And what your parent friends who are just starting the school journey with their children? Enter the Jingkids International School Expo (JISE).

The JISE 2023 takes place this weekend (Mar 11 – 12, 10am – 5pm) and registrations are still open!
