Kids into magic and want to dabble in the mystic arts? Well, just say the word and presto, there’s a kid’s magic + comedy show coming up this weekend, conducted by international magician Magic Fang! But just who is he? Let’s find out!
Hello everyone, this is Magic Fang. I have been doing my solo shows across Canada for 7 years. I have been a frequent guest on Canadian National Television and Radio Network CBC, and I have also been on CTV, Rogers TV, and SiriusXM.
Jingkids International: Very cool! And what do you enjoy about magic?
Magic itself is extremely entertaining. And magic has been a perfect bridge between me and people from different races and ages.
JKI: How would you describe your act?
I was a full time stand-up comedian for several years, so you would hear lots of laughter in my magic show compared to a traditional “serious” magic show. I will be performing some of classic North American magic routines that Chinese audience have never seen before.
JKI: Ah so that’s why you’re offering a magic + comedy show for kids this weekend! Why did you decide to return to China to perform for children?
I performed in Beijing in 2019 and loved the crowd. I had planned to come back with my solo show in 2020, but it got postponed due to Covid. This time I am bringing back my brand new kids show and also a show for adults. Performing in my home country has been my dream and part of my plan to tour the world. I would like to inspire more Chinese children to be the best they can be.
JKI: What ages are suitable to attend your magic + comedy show?
I have been doing all-age shows for a while, so any age groups are welcome. I will be doing 2 shows on April 30th split based on language capability. One show is for English beginners and the other one is for English native speakers. Ideally children can attend my shows separately according to their English levels.
JKI: Please tell us what to expect in the upcoming magic + comedy show!
Kids will definitely have some fun watching my show. Some of them will even have a chance to do magic with me. My show also has an educational function where kids can learn some abstract key words.
Join Magic Fang’s magic + comedy show for kids (2pm-3pm) beginner level English speakers, and the show from 330 to 430pm is for native or strong English-speaking kids.
