The summer holidays might be officially over, but it doesn’t mean that all the fun ends there. The weather has just started becoming more and more amazing, and there will be quite a few cool events to enjoy it with. Here are some that we can all enjoy with friends and family:
Roundabout’s Book Fair
Roundabout’s next book fair is just around the corner, so if your home library needs some new titles, make sure to visit their fair either on Saturday or Sunday, Sep 9 and 10. The event will be held right in front of their store. What’s great about it is that all books are donated and all the proceeds will go to children in need. If you have books to donate, make sure to take them with you.

Picnic With Ponies
Support the Therapeutic Riding program at HOPE this Sat, Sep 9, by attending their Picnic With Ponies event, where you and your family get to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon enjoying a horse show, delicious food and drinks, as well as some super fun games and activities.You are encouraged to bring your own tents, picnic mats and camping chairs, and make a day out of it! Sunshine Studio Dance Classes
Dance classes for kids and adults are back every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at Sunshine Studios. Starting from RMB 140 for one one-hour class a week, classes are divided according to kids’ age and level. Friends of Little Park Workshops
Little Park Childcare will be organizing a series of workshops on infant development for parents and infant-toddler educators. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced educators and get the tools needed to support your child’s development. The first workshop in the series is The Diaper Change! where you’ll learn about consent, independence and respect through diaper change and other caregiving practices. Longtan Park’s Festival of Lights
You don’t have to leave Beijing to enjoy a good light festival. Longtan Park is located in Beijing’s Dongcheng District, and has been hosting a kid-friendly festival that features more than 17 light installation sculptures spread around the park. There’s also a waterplay area for the kids, so don’t forget to take water toys and a change of clothes for your little ones.
