The Migrant Children’s Foundation (MCF) is urgently calling on the compassionate Beijing community to come together and help save the life of a brave little girl. Ding Jiayi was diagnosed with pulmonary arteriovenous malformation (PAVM), a rare pulmonary condition characterized by a pathological right-to-left shunt that disrupts normal gas exchange and venous blood filtration in the pulmonary circulation. She underwent her first surgery in 2019 and since then, has undergone two additional ones. Now, she faces yet another critical operation within the next few days, and her family desperately needs our support.
The cost of this life-saving surgery is RMB100,000, a daunting sum for her family. Her mother, who has recently undergone heart surgery herself, is unable to work, and her father, a migrant worker in Beijing, earns a low income that barely covers their basic needs. Without this surgery, her life is in danger.
Despite their hardships, this family remains courageous. Her family is facing heavy financial difficulties and can no longer afford Jiayi’s medical expenses. They need a helping hand from the community to overcome this critical juncture. They’re pleading with the Beijing community to come together to help give their eight-year-old little girl a chance to experience life.
The Migrant Children’s Foundation, known for its tireless efforts to support the most vulnerable in our society, is spearheading this fundraising campaign. Your donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference. It can bring hope to a family in despair, ensuring this little girl receives the surgery she urgently needs.
