Splash the Rest of Summer Away at Joyful Splash Island

With just a few weeks left to enjoy the summer vacation, let’s make the most of it by having a splashing good time at Joyful Splash Island in Dongfeng Sports Park, a stone’s throw from Chaoyang Park. The outdoor picnic/day camping ground has been transformed with plenty of inflatable pools with slides of varying sizes suitable for kids from 1 all the way to 18 years of age.

This new splash zone is located at the same place we organized our jingkids Summer Fling picnic at a few years back, and is right behind the little (fake) poolside area where little eateries such as Mosto’s and Beijing Gelato are located. The place was set up especially for the summer months and will be shutting its doors come Aug 25 when school starts for most of us, so do take advantage of the remaining time to enjoy this reasonably priced outdoor water play park.

There are also on-site showers that are relatively clean that provide hot water for a nice cleansing shower afterwards! Though you must remember to bring your own towels!

Tickets for entry are RMB 49.9 per person, RMB 89.9/two people, and RMB 99.9/three people, without any time limit, so feel free to spend the entire day there. With lots of food and drink options, from instant noodles to ice cream, at the food trucks conveniently situated on-site, you could easily stay at the park from opening to closing hours (10am-6pm).

What we love about the place? You can bring your own water guns, inflatables, beach balls, etc. and feel free to organize your own water fights and games. The accomodating staff will also organize foam parties periodically throughout the day and can be cajoled into playing with the kids too!
