All Beijing Schools Ordered to Close, Return to Online Learning
According to an announcement made by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission (BMEC) close to midnight last night, all primary and secondary schools in Beijing must return to distance learning effective as of today, Wednesday, Jun 17.
Grades 1-3 Return to School Put on Indefinite Hold
Plans to send Grades 1 through 3 back to school this Monday (June 15) have been put on indefinite hold due to a reappearance of COVID-19 in Beijing, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced today. Also on hold are plans to reopen after-school training programs.
